Industrial Material and Air Handling Fans
Koger industrial material and air handling fans define the performance, endurance, reliability and efficiency of the systems they power. Koger fans are designed and built to keep each system and all its parts free and clear of obstruction while operating powerfully, yet effortlessly and quietly year after year.
The Koger line of fans, certified by AMCA for air performance, range in size from 11" - 41" diameters and are constructed from 1/4" or heavier plate to handle system capacities from 660 to 60,000 CFM of air. Each fan is totally rotatable and interchangeable to a clockwise or counterclockwise discharge. The customer specifies rotation of discharge and color of paint when orders are placed.
Stock orders for fans are normally shipped same day and special order fans made of Abrasion Resistant, Stainless and Heat Resistant Steels are normally shipped within two weeks of order.
All Koger fan parts are produced using computer aided design and manufacturing technology programmed by Koger CAD/CAM specialists and built and tested by skilled technicians. Each fan is computer balanced to within 0.30 oz. in. of unbalance and in two planes side-to-side and end-to-end to minimize noise and vibration.
Construction Features Of The Koger Material And Air Handling Fans
FAN WHEEL
The Koger industrial fan wheel is radial open and self-cleaning. The six-bladed wheel is a solid weld design with single spokes in fan diameters 11" through 21" and dual spokes for fan diameter sizes 23" through 41".
FAN BEARINGS
All Koger industrial fans are equipped with the highest quality self-aligning roller bearings available. Each is designed with a split housing construction and double row tapered roller bearings, a design to handle high radial and thrust loads. The bearings have a normal minimum life of 30,000 hours.
SHAFTING
Fan shafts are precision machined from the highest grade of ground, polished, and straightened shafting available.
SCROLL HOUSING
The welded, heavy-duty scroll housing is rotatable and interchangeable to clockwise or counterclockwise discharge. Special materials, such as Abrasion Resistant Steel, Stainless Steel or Heat Resistant Steel can be used.
PEDESTAL
A heavy-duty pedestal supports the bearings, shaft and wheel. Bearing mounts are of tubular design to allow easy removal of bearings while giving maximum support to the moving parts. The pedestal is totally removable from other fan components, allowing fan to be assembled in desired rotation.
INLETS AND OUTLETS
Each fan inlet is proportional to the fan outlet. The standard fan inlet is a straight collar design to allow a removable fan sleeve connection while the standard fan outlet is a flanged construction to provide maximum strength. The flanged construction simplifies outside bolt connection of ducts.
