INDUSTRIAL MATERIAL AND AIR HANDLING EQUIPMENT
Industrial Rotary Air-Lock Feeders
Each part of the Air-Lock housing, including the rotor assembly, is computer programmed and precision cut on plasma arc cutting tables. All materials are cut underwater using high definition cutting to prevent heating and warping and to allow precision bolt hole burning.
Downstream from the cutting department are nine work cells, each designed and equipped with pre-cut and formed components, and all necessary welding and and lifting equipment to fabricate sub-assemblies.
The staging aspect of fabrication and warehousing allow same day shipment of all standard Air-Locks sizes 10" - 24".
Each Air-Lock is thoroughly tested and approved prior to shipment with performance fully guaranteed for one year.
Construction Features Of The Koger Industrial Rotary AirLock Feeders
Roller chain and sprocket driven by a quality parallel shaft reducer with a 2 HP, 3 phase, 60 Hertz, 230/460 volt motor. Variable metering speeds. Protective chain guard is included and is constructed with an expanded metal front for easy visibility of chain operation.
C-Flange motor mount permits positive drive for more torque and increased efficiency. The 10", 12" and 14" units operate at 30 RPM, the 16" at 22 RPM, and the 20" and 24" units operate at 17 RPM. Four and six blade rotors are designed to meter material efficiently. Heavy-duty rubber vanes are reinforced with steel for strength. 10 gauge HR housing finished to close tolerances with smooth interior surface to assure free flow of waste materials. Round inlet and outlet flanges are pre-drilled with 7/16" bolt holes for quick and easy installation. Available with matched flanges. Removable side plates provide an easy entry into Air-Lock for maintenance of rotor.
Reinforced rubber tipped vanes keep Air-Lock free from bLockage by continually wiping excess material from the inside. The vanes are spark resistant, unbreakable and easily replaced.
A tight air seal supplied by the rotor design greatly reduces the dangers of breakage and friction fires. Air-Lock maintains the operating pressures of the system and operates most effectively in low-pressure industrial applications.
Custom fabricated AirLocks are available and can include stainless and abrasion resistant steels, square inlet and outlet flanges, special paint and color. An Air-Lock brochure with dimensions and pricing of sizes 10" - 24" is downloadable.
